First, members of Congress run every 2 years. hat would make his reelection 2012.
Second, this is a contrived scandal and the accusations are false.

Breitbart casually destroying somebody to make a political point? Figures. When even Drudge won't touch it, that really should tell you something.

Come on... The only person who has seen this offending tweet just so happens to be somebody who's been obsessed with Weiner and accusing him of inappropriate behavior? That's lack of critical thinking taken to the Birther-level.

Where? You mean Weiner's claims are enough for you?

Weinergate | Retained Counsel | Anthony Weiner | The Daily Caller

Oh my. He's retained a "private" attorney? Ummm....dear Mr. Weiner, if your social networking account(s) were hacked, that is a matter for the police/FBI....not a private attorney.

Let me guess, they will investigate fully, determine who the hacker(s) is and let the matter go....quietly..into the night.

He's digging even deeper cause HE KNOWS if he gets the police involved, he will be exposed for not just the creep that he is, but also a liar.

Why would the police get involved in somebody's PERSONAL social networking accounts?

And if not will you eat crow?

Police don't get involved in hacking of PERSONAL social networking accounts.

Not at all. Experts have looked at the images (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/05/29/980400/-Breitbarts-#TwitterHoaxHow-It-Went-Down?via=siderecent - broken link) and determined that they were Photoshopped.

Also, from the NY Post:

The tech-savvy congressman saw the picture almost immediately. He had been tweeting about a hockey game just a few minutes earlier.

Weiner pulled the shot himself, but not before it had been retweeted and screen-grabbed by several followers.

Weiner, a voracious user of Twitter, wrote a humorous response about 15 minutes later.

"Tivo shot. FB hacked. Is my blender gonna attack me next?" he joked, ending the tweet with the hashtag "#TheToasterIsVeryLoyal."

Last night, Weiner jokingly tweeted, "Touche Prof Moriarity. More Weiner Jokes for all my guests!"

Because hacking an account is illegal. Remember when Palin's account was hacked and the hacker convicted?

That was an email account not a social networking site. Palin was doing government business
using a Yahoo account if I remember correctly.

The Daily Kos is your reputable reliable source as to whether this is a right wing conspiracy or not?
