Seriously- there's a more profound difference between Swiss society and US society than the sex ed curriculum might simply suggest.
Wow! Not anything at all! But guns do!

USA! USA! USA!.....lol

Yes nobody argued that sex ed was the only reason. Universal health care, easy access to birth control, are other factors.... all opposed by the majority of right wingers of course.

As our schools keep deteriorating, it seems we find new useless crap to teach our children.

A report issued in 2005 by the UN agency UNICEF on child poverty in 26 OECD countries found that 6.8% of children in Switzerland were affected. Families were defined as poor if they received less than half the median income for their country. In this respect only the Scandinavians had a lower rate. Switzerland tied with the Czech Republic. The rate in Australia was 14.7%, in Canada 14.9, in Great Britain 15.4, and the US 21.9%.
Poverty in the U.S. is approximately 3 times that of Switzerland's; pregnancy rate is 10X. Draw your own conclusions.

I'm drawing the conclusion that you have absolutely no idea how they even got their or how much of the wealth is centered in the hands of the top 10% in Switzerland.

I'm drawing the conclusion that y'all don't even have a clue what your policies are and have been in the past even when your federal government tells you.

Few periods in American history witnessed more ferment than the years between the founding of Hull House and American entry into World War I. This movement touched every aspect of American life. It transformed government into an active, interventionist entity at the national level, most notably under Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson, but also at the state and local levels. For the first time Americans were prepared to use government, including the federal government, as an instrument of reform.
Progressive reformers secured a federal income tax based on the ability to pay; formulated inheritance taxes; devised a modern national banking system; and developed government regulatory commissions to oversee banking, insurance, railroads, gas, electricity, telephones, transportation, and manufacturing.
By their fruits ye shall know them....

The Local - Sex box row: minister won't get involved

"A guide contained in the sex boxes instructs kindergarten teachers to "show that contacting body parts can be pleasurable." It also recommends having children massage each other or to rub themselves with warm sand bags, all accompanied by soft music."

WARNING: Graphic
That is so disgusting. I don't understand what kind of mindset are you coming from when you can sit there and try to sexualize children. Children are suppose to be having fun and playing and laughing. Doing innocent things. Sex is NOTHING a CHILD should be taught. I don't care what political party you represent. That is WRONG and disgusting. Teaching small children that haven't even gone through puberty about things like that.

This should tell you all you need to know about who you should listen to in regards to sex education.

The Swiss or US right wingers.

The Swiss teen pregnancy rate (for the ages of 15-19) is just 4.3 per 1,000 women,[/b] compared with 9.9 per 1,000 in neighbouring Germany. In Britain the rate stands at 26 per 1,000, with the US the worst culprit in the western world at almost 42 per 1,000.

LOL....We have 10X the teen pregnancy rate and they think they can go around lecturing Americans about Europeans "infiltrating" the USA with their dirty "sex education"....LOL
Are the Swiss trying to turn the kiddies on, or off?

To sex, that is!

Absolutely. Yet there are those in the U.S. who defend this. It is important that we all stay vigilant and do what we can to keep them away from our children.
Be thankful this Obama appointed guy is scheduled to leave office next month. Although, I fear the damage is already done in the form of the mandated public school faux anti-bullying program.
