John McCain is accusing conservatives of actively misleading America with their completely unrealistic demands, which he labeled “deceiving” and “bizarro.” Here is the link:

I rarely agree with McCain but this obstinate behavior by the "noob" Republican house members has to stop. With their utter lack of knowledge of the legislative process they're going to mess around and really screw up this country when we default on the debt over unreasonable demands they won't compromise on. We have a Democrat President, Democrat controlled Senate and a Republican controlled House. No one is going to get everything they want and everyone is going to have to compromise for the good of the country. Grover Norquist be damned.

From the linked article .......

"McCain’s angry tirade on the Senate floor today perfectly captures the rising frustration, anger, and panic of more responsible Republicans and GOP establishment figures as they come to terms with the true depths of the delusion that is now afflicting some on the right — and the danger it is now posing to our economy and country."

So why don't "responsible" Republicans join with "responsible" Democrats and get us a sensible bipartisan solution?

The Civil War among Republicans is going to become intense in the final days of debate.

I disagree wholeheartedly. This has nothing to do with an "utter lack of knowledge of the legislative process." This has to do with standing upon the principles for which they were elected. Contrary to your opinion, this is exactly what a legislator is supposed to do. The problem is that your view of the "legislative process" has been so terribly skewed by special interests over the past 50 years that citizens are completely thrown off guard when a legislator actually stands up for the people that put him in office. Just because you disagree with their position, does not make them ignorant of the process. It makes you a schill for special interests who actually drive the "compromise" theory. In other words, your mentality has been bought and sold right along with the legislators who are bowing to the demands of external pressures to "compromise."

Wake up.

There's "standing up for your principles" and there's "doing what's right for the country and working together".

Both the Republicans and the Democrats need to realise this and get off their petty high horse and just suck it up and work together. Until then, nothing will get better.

I'd hardly call that an erruption but...

Anyway, good for him for telling the truth. Even though I am a liberal, I had voted for McCain in the past. This youtube video explains why.
