Are you referring to that 18 year old adult that was recently propositioned?
I wasn't referring to Weiner, who didn't do anything wrong IMO. (And, to dispel any doubts about partisanship here, I don't think Christopher Lee did anything wrong either.)
But plenty of pedophilic and other sexually abusive behavior goes on in government.
After Jerry Sandusky was exposed. Others abused by influential people in Hollywood have begun to come forward.
Quote:
Martin Weiss, 47, is charged with three counts of sodomy of a person under 16; two counts each of lewd act upon a child and continuous sexual abuse; and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child.
Weiss, a self-employed talent agent specializing in child actors, has been operating his business out of his home in Santa Monica for the past 14 years.
After serving five years in prison for the 1996 crime in the Seattle area, Murphy underwent sex-offender counseling. When he moved to California in 2005, the state performed an evaluation and required him to register as a sex offender, making his name and photo publicly available. But the listing is under his original last name, in effect screening it from those who know him only as Jason James.
California law prohibits sex offenders whose victims were younger than 16 from "working directly and in an unaccompanied setting with minor children on more than an incidental and occasional basis or have supervision or disciplinary power over minor children." The law also requires offenders to notify law enforcement within five days of any name change.
So what do you suggest should be done about that? Abolish acting roles for children, or just investigate/monitor them more closely? I'm asking seriously, btw, since I'm not really sure where the OP is going with this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but dont they require parents to be present most of the time?

It is not customary for a parent to sit in the room during a casting.
That is where the alleged abuses have been known to occur. As well as when the child is sent to be coached for jobs by a manager/agent, etc.
The parent doesn't sit in during coaching or casting sessions.
