They'd become a safe-haven for questionable capital from all over the world? I surely hope not since we're trying to figure out how much of the world's capital is actually being sheltered there from taxes. I doubt we need another nation state like that...
What good is there in comparing when we have no immigration laws, no limits on who can come while those better countries keep the indigent out?
Ehm - no immigration laws? As someone who has been through the INS/USCIS mill, I can say with some authority that there are more immigration laws than you can shake a stick at. (Including, I'm sure, a rule against stick-shaking, so don't try it.)

Only if you're an illegal immigrant, then the process is a snap and the benefits too.
The ones abiding by the laws of this country have to jump through hoops to get in.

Only if you chose to come here legally though. There are over 30 million illegals that can tell you it's not at all hard to come here, use the hospitals, protest for amnesty, drive without licenses and insurance. Very very few risk deportation, it requires they commit some pretty bad crime like murder.
We might have some immigration laws but as they are not enforced, it's as though there are none.
Norway runs structural budget deficits without the oil. True, they're trying to get off that dependence and it's also true they're trying to curb the dependence of its people on the welfare state.
Norway is a nation state so if you like that, then simply go there. I know many Norwegians who'd rather be here because of far greater opportunity to grow their wealth. That's the down side of socialist states you know...
Once you get there don't be alarmed at the high suicide rate.
The other nation states are, again, not comparable at all to the U.S. but you might want to try to compare them to certain states in the United States.
Most Scandinavians can live without the 1% controlling the wealth. Of course you are bound to find Norwegians wanting to move out like in every country in the world. These vague descriptions you present probably doesn't represent the average Norwegian.
There are far more Americans moving to Norway than Norwegians moving to the US. And these are usually well educated.
The suicide rate is on par with the US. You might want to do some actual research. Seriously, you have internet.

Right... I've studied your emigration, immigration and migration rates. I just don't care to get into the nauseating details, because, quite frankly it means very little.

Suicide Rates (per 100,000), by country, year, and gender.
norway 99 19.5 6.8
switzerland 99 26.5 10.0
sweden 99 19.7 8.0
united states of america 99 17.6 4.1

I guess... If math wasn't your thing in school. Here, let me explain.
Norway - 26.8 per 100,000
Switzerland - 36.5 per 100,000
Sweden - 27.7 per 100,000
The U.S. - 22.7 per 100,000
Now, percentage wise...
Norway's suicide rate is 18% higher than the U.S.
Switzerland's suicide rate is 60% higher than the U.S.
Sweden's 22% higher than the U.S.
Feel free to check my math...

You're using old data. Now if you check that Wikipedia article you can actually quite easily find the sources. (WHO as well... sigh.)
