Just curious--why not?

Default How do you feel about same-sex marriage?

wishy-washy...

It's just one of those "issues" that doesn't evoke a strong response from me one way or the other. I'm not gonna march in the streets for the rights of gays to marry. And I'm not gonna march in the streets against gays marrying.

But even I can see which way the momentum is turning.

Progress certainly threatens the non-adaptable mind.

Why are people fighting so hard for same sex marriage?? I really cannot wrap my brain around it.

It's a huge drain on focus for bigger problems in this country.

Because homosexuality is an abomination not unlike pedophilia. Recognition of gays marrying legitimizes this abomination.

Imagine if a collection of rights were being withheld from you (or from a family member or a friend). Wouldn't you fight hard for your (or their) equal rights?

Please do tell. How is homosexuality "not unlike pedophilia"? How is it that homosexuality is an abomination?

Conservative Christianity is an abomination, much like Nazism.

Two human beings....

That's the only requirement?

How about age?

One rule goes out the window and you're opening the door for Jerry Sandusky to do as he pleases outside of being prosecuted.

Every type of relationship gets validated eventually given enough time.

That's what you are all saying.

The race argument is a 100% fail.

Science would have to prove that there is such a thing as a race (which is something that cannot be done and is scientifically invalid) in order to deny two people of different ethnicities marriage.

Same sex marriage is totally different.

Because marriage is a civil contract two adults of consenting age should be allowed to enter into a contract. Period.

As abnormal as I believe homosexuality to be. Civil unions I can agree with. The marriage part is done in church. Plenty of civil unions between heterosexual couples.

Comparing Kim Kardashian and her antics to the condition of modern American wedlock is about as genuine as lipstick on a pig. Kardashian should never be spoken with regard to marriage.
