It was a predictable response to your OP. You were looking for controversy and you found it.

This is a discussion board after all, isn't it?

Flame wars are not discussions, and this topic turned into a flame war, predictably. I already asked the mods to close this thread up, because nothing good is coming from this topic besides bashing and flaming

You started this topic on the premise that 2 American politicians are stupid, and you make the assertion, like the typical arrogant know-it-all liberal European that you are, that Americans are stupid and Europeans are superior. You get called out on that BS, and you start throwing a hissy fit about nazi cards and whatnot. This topic is a flame war, nothing about any thoughtful discussion

Are there not ways of promoting discussion without seeking to ridicule an entire group based on reactions to 2 members of that group that are by no means representative of the group as a whole?

Are you honestly so agenda driven and consumed with tunnel vision that you are unable to see "The Village Idiot" as you referred to Bush irritated a substantial portion of US conservatives? It would take no great degree of observation to see that Obama is far more like Bush than he is different from him yet you unsurprisingly choose to ignore that and attempt to paint him as a great leader.

Even giving you the benefit of the doubt based on language differences it seems readily apparent you're not looking for discussion, you're looking for argument and whining like a beaten bully when you get back a dose of your own medicine.

It has nothing to do with paying close attention to american politics. Its called being knowledgeable in World Politics. There are other nations in this world which will pass the U.S. economically in the near future. And once the dollar isn't the world currency anymore, things for america will go downhill very fast.

But then who's going to police the world and help keep countries like Germany in line when they get a little crazy?
