Our political climate may be heated right now but don't expect anyone to build a wall down the side of the Mississippi river to split the country in 2 anytime soon, we're nowhere close to being that crazy.

germany may very well one day become a mini-super power, as long as it can leave it's disgusting history behind the rest of the world will accept it with open but guarded arms.
Please, there have been people asking for splitting the United States in various parts on this forum. And very soon I don't think that this country will be governable anymore. As far as Germany is concerned it is one of the most popular countries in this world. Not like the U.S. No one has to receive us with guarded arms.

This thread is proof that a little bit of knowledge is dangerous, especially when you mix it with envy and hate.

You mix up hate with criticism. But I guess you are immune to criticism at your country. Envy??? Who would envy the U.S.. Except of course you are a 3rd world nation.

Sorry but I've travelled plenty and the United States is by far the greatest country in the world.

When people go to London and Paris, they go for the history and arts/culture. That's about it.

When people come to New York, they are amazed not just at the sights, but the lifestyle. When people come to Chicago, they are amazed at the lifestyle. When people come to LA, they are amazed at the lifestyle.

That's the big difference.

You're hopelessly ignorant, sorry but if you actually believe that people here in the United States are as barbaric and downright crazy as the germans were when they build the berlin wall you need mental help.

I figured after reading some of the comments in this thread that the people of America aren't interested in popularity contests and regardless of what you believe there are still millions of people world wide who view germany in a guarded manner. Just because you choose to ignore your own recent history doesn't mean the world has forgotten.

Yet you feel the need to participate on a US political board so you can demonstrate what you erroneously believe to be a superior intellect and higher sense of culture.

People in Europe live the same if not better lifestyle. Plus we have all the history and arts. America is in decline and will soon only resemble another latin american 3rd world country.

Then how come so many people want to come to America from Europe? There are lines a mile long at every US consulate in Europe for that chance.

How come so many people from the UK can't wait to get that letter from the US State Dept. saying they can move to Los Angeles to work in the movies in Hollywood?

Hollywood is the number 1 provider of the arts to all over the world.

I agree parts of the lifestyle are better, such as walkability around cities. But let's face it, America is the land of opportunity.

You provide no evidence of America's decline and fail to how Europe is imploding before you.

So? There are billions of people in the world who despise america. Germans weren't crazy at all. They were under a dictatorship, they had no choice. Either die, or participate. There were numerous attempts to assassin Hitler.
