Analysts, marketing? Surely you jest?

No, that is a library clerk, not a librarian.

So was I...

Yup, and most people really don't know the difference... they call anyone who works at a library "librarian," which sometimes annoys me. I understand people not knowing, but it's a little irritating when I'm lumped together with somebody who barely finished high school! Even more insulting, when patrons ask me the following - "are you a volunteer?" "I wanna be a librarian too, do you have any applications?" or the famous "You must love reading and/or that must be a quiet job!" Both duh and not really could answer that last one, LOL.

Well you have a right to be a little annoyed. It is like comparing the CNA to the RN.
