Amen! The work ethic of the boomers and pre boomers are so much different than they are with the younger generation. I have worked people of all ages and the older workers are more reliable. They do not miss work.

Note to self: Take vitamins, exercise, eat a good diet and live as long as possible just to tick off all the whiners.

If you mean their money, then that's fine. If you mean for the charities to fix all the issues they created... then that's not fine. They need to take some responsibility.

Are you kidding? I personally know a man that is 77 years old, he works for a company that hires only part time employees and many are college age and a little older. The owner of the company told me he wished everyone had the work ethic of the older man.

Work to the "younger generation" means consistently showing up for work 5 - 10 minutes late, doing only what is required, show 0 initiative and constantly talk about getting another job commensurate with their job skills which are wasted in the job they currently have.

Their next job "will allow them to be creative" and do whatever they want whenever they want for a six-figure salary.

They come to work looking like a bomb exploded next to their head with metal sticking out of their skin, hoops the size of quarters embedded in their ears and so much grease in their hair you could step on their hair and slide for 1/2 a mile...

I guess all the money that was lost in 401K's that made it essential for older people to continue to work doesn't matter? the op thinks old people don't want to make their home a nice place to live in? tons of folks don't have kids to leave their money and property to so they give it to charities, does the op have a problem with that too? lol I hope he posts when he turns 67 and see where his head is at about his financial health and if he feels the need to work or not. youth is wasted on the young as they say. to be so young and naive

Old people didn't lose that much.... the impact on them was minimal.
