Hmm, are we now using the Bible for our government decisions? Because there are quite a few verses Obama seemed to miss:

Proverbs 22:26-27, 29
Do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you

Proverbs 28:19
He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty

2 Thessalonians 3:8
nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

1 Timothy 5:18
For the Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."

And those are just dealing with work. There are tons more on life, marriage, etc. that Obama chooses to ignore.
I completely believe that Christians are meant to be the hands and feet of God. And I believe God calls us to be good stewards of our money so we can help others. As such, I do not find the government in general to be a good steward of my money. So I minimize my taxes as much as legally possible and use my money to truly help those in need.

Not as desperate as those who proclaim themselves as pro-life, to further their politcal agenda, knowing that they have no intention or power to overturn Roe V. Wade. Why is faith in Christ any more believable when the believer is a Republican? Personally, it is just a moral issue to me and what religion you claim really doesn't matter. I just think it is ridiculous for the so-called Christians on the right who constantly inject religion into everything political to get upset over this. A bunch of self-righteous phony wing nuts is what they are.

I'm not surprised that a Christian would know that Proverbs was spoken words of Jesus. Next... Jesus personally typed the Ten Commandments.

Interesting that not a single one of your passages details words actually spoken by Christ. Not one.
I've long suspected that many so-called Christians give more credence to Paul than to Christ. Looks like I'm not too far off.

According to these Christians, it was Jesus who was into "an eye for an eye"... because it is in the Bible.

Another thing, the bible teaches forgiveness, yet it is always the right wing "Christians" who are so hard on people and do not believe in second chances. Have fun trying to get thorugh the eye of the needle.
i am a conservative christian, and i believe in second chances, in fact i believe in third chances as well. HOWEVER, these chances are EARNED not just given.

as for your stance on homosexuality, it is against what the bible teaches, read leviticus for instance and you will find a number of passages dealing with homosexuality.

as for hating the poor, i dont hate the poor, many are that way for a variety of reasons. i respect those that are trying to make a better life for themselves, and i believe that they should get some help. i understand that some end up poor due to circumstances beyond their control, and that there should be a safety net to help them in their time of need. the ones i dont like however are the ones scamming the system. those that are quite capable of working, and yet wont even when offered a paying job.

as i also have said, religion does not belong in politics, as it often degrades to "i am a better christian than you are because i believe this" deal. it also leads politicians to try to use the bible to support their positions, despite the fact they are either misquoting, or quoting out of context, biblical passages. we cant pick and choose what passages we accept, and which ones we dont. we have to take the bible as a whole.

It is against the Biblical teachings to point fingers at others. Your stance should be personal, not a grudge against others. Consequently, not only would you be following the Bible, but also respecting the US Constitution.

I don't see where this person said, "Jesus said it", they gave examples. Kind of like you and others go to the worst part of the Bible and misquote, take out context the scripture.

You think your so, clever, with this, it shows on every one of you, how you pick and chose what you think the Bible says.

By the way the Ten Commandments were written with the finger of God, do you think, Jesus wasn't there??

it is against biblical teachings to prejudge a person. that means that i should not judge a person to be good or bad without getting to know them first.

the bible also teaches not to hold a grudge, and to forgive those who trespass against you, which is why i believe in second chances. but again it has to be earned. if you steal from me, then come to me and ask for forgiveness, i will grant that forgiveness as long as you are truly repentant of your sins against me. that doesnt mean however that i will automatically have to trust you fully again, until such time as you earn that trust. if i grant you forgiveness, and you repeat your sins against me, then you lose that forgiveness as you never repented of your sins.

remember that jesus said "their fruits shall ye know them", when dealing with people.

BEAUTIFUL job, gal. You got rep'ed for this one, for sure. BO is too busy having his emotions lost in his own religious decision making! Oh yeah..separation of church and state is what the libs always try to use as a weapon against we Christians.

But Looook! Obama.....why he's a Marxist is a warped sense of religious beliefs.
