I really don't know why people who aren't outraged are even putting so much energy into defending the company. Do you people know that a top USDA exec went to go work for the main company producing the slime shortly after resigning?

It's corrupt no matter how you slice it. If you want to eat garbage come by our barrels full of undesireables. We've got tons of "meat scraps" in our trash barrels we could make a profit off of. We even have to pay a company to come dispose of it.

Apples and oranges.

You can't just change conditions. Anyone hear of the Pawpaw? That was slated to become a commercial food about the same time as blue berries and pecans as the more recent mass food items. Two out of three made it. It never made it because it has no shelf life. Thus to the industrial food supply, its nothing but rotten fruit. Most of you people have no idea what you are not eating because of this. Many , many delicious foods cannot ship well including a 100 variates of strawberries. Our strawberries are made to ship.

The reason why scraps are junk in the industrial food supply is that they are exposed in terms of surface area to the environment much longer and have a much shorter shelf life. In a small scale operations, locally its still basically food like the Pawpaw. However at this scale and distance, its rotting. So they disinfect it to make it "food".

No I didn't. You think those cattle have much in the way of genetic variability? Don't take all things literally, son. Why do you think they are terrified of one getting sick? Because it will rip though all of them.
