That's obviously entirely a matter of opinion. Paris or Rome is far more fascinating and interesting to me than say Yellowstone national park. If you disagree, good for you.

Once again, is there something wrong with having a different view on this?

Like? Do you always start threads intending to attack people you disagree with?

"Paris? We don't want to go to Paris - we want to go to Toledo!" Quiz: I may be showing my age, but does anyone remember where this line came from?

"The Out of Towners"?

(Original was better then the re-make, BTW.)

Those girls won't be able to study abroad for a year in high school, and probably not even in college. Let them have their short trips now when they have to be in a group rather than independently.
My middle schools choral program went to France when I was in the 8th grade. And our foreign club went to Madrid one year. HOSA - some organization. to do with health; the students earned their CNA's in high school - went to Haiti during a spring break (that was a seniors only trip & they had to be 18).

I didn't go on either of these trips but they were available and I didn't go to a fancy private or charter school. Just an average school in a small town in Florida.

It's not unheard of for a school to go on a field trip out of the country...people are just looking for a reason to complain.

Why don't you move to Europe? America only have a few of what would be considered "world cities.". The culture you prefer doesn't exist in the United States so you would probably be happier over there.

This isn't an extreme or irrational reaction to a difference of opinion at all.
Yup.

The positon of President is a necessary function of the federal government....it includes protection.

Where do you get the ridiculous idea that I would hold someone to a different standard based on their political views?

I won't pull the hipocrite card but the ignorant card?

MY tax dollar funds children in my district that aren't even mine....where the hell have you been all your life???
