It's appalling that people are angry Zimmerman is being charged.
After all, he's innocent until proven otherwise, right? If he's innocent, let him say so in court, and let the prosecution present their evidence he's lying.
That is true. It does seem like the case should go to court and Zimmerman should have to prove his guilt or innocence.
I hope not. It would be Obama's crazy policies that would cost him the election. Besides, I am white and wonder why Zimmerman hasn't been arrested. It seems to me like he should at least be looking at a manslaughter charge. I don't know though. I am not the police.
He is un custody and rumor has it that it will be secon degree murder.
Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. It's one of the core Rights of our Nation and is in place to protect people, no matter what their skin color, sexual preference, economic status, or political leanings.
I, and I suspect no one else here, really knows what happened. We need to wait for the police and Prosecuting attorney to put together a case based on the available evidence, and then we need to wait for another Right to be invoked - trial by Jury of his peers.
Until that all happens, everyone needs to shut up, sit back and let the scales of justice work as they're supposed too.
We are still a nation of laws, no matter what I may think of the shooter personally. Give him his day in court. FYI, by saying that I am NOT defending his actions, don't confuse the two different stands on the issue.
Well zimmerman didn't care about that, so why should we?
Zimmerman is being brought up on 2nd degree murder charges. How exactly is a brutal right wing murderer going to cost Obama the election?
Typical lefty comment without knowing facts...
