Honestly as a US citizen, I hate it.

Mostly due to the fact thumping conservatives like to high jack it for their views so it gets easily skewed and tarnished on an international scene.

Some could say that it is to respect the military but so far about every person I have met from the military is a complete self-absorbed Jackass.(Especially the Marines)

The thing gets waved in my face pretty much every day and I honestly have no pride or feeling towards it. In fact I think it looks ugly.

You don't belong in the United States then. If there was any justice, every home and business in this nation would have an American flag.

The American flag is the only flag to be planted on the moon by humans. How in the universe can someone not be proud of THAT?
