Now the story is changing. Now that it looks like TM approached GZ, the apologist talk looks like "Well, if GZ just didn't get out of his car and call 911, none of this would've happened". Maybe if GZ just cowered in his house all night and didn't come out, TM would've been alive today?

You guys are trying to say it applies to Zimmerman, when it actually applies to Martin, because it was Martin who was using self-defense when there was a reasonable belief of a threat (posed by a guy who is chasing him).
Where's the threat coming from? Did GZ come up to TM and push, shove, poke, or anything of the sort? You cannot assault anyone if they keep their distance, ever. If you do, you will pay the price.

Incidentally, the Ph.D.s are homegrown in UNC, NC State and Duke. Thousands and thousands of them.

Y'all not come down here, ya hear?
Exactly as I thought.

Brain development has little to do with how close to 18 you are, that only matters when buying lottery tickets and cigarettes.

It's also hard to think rationally when you are itching for a fight and you have a gun but nobody else knows that.

"Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6 any day and twice on Sundays."

Ridiculous.
None of the brain development arguments work unless TM was mentally retarded, which he was not.

That's nice. But, nice try on the diversionary geographical location tactic. Might want to focus on the TM vs. GZ case instead, especially considering it's a TM/GZ thread.

We don't know if GZ pulled a gun and TM felt that he needed to fight for his life.

GZ's story just does not add up. If he felt that TM was such a threat, why didn't he wait to let the police handle the situation?

Considering that the majority of states in the union did the same thing as NC did, does your statement even make sense?

When a gun is pulled, the typical tactic is to run for cover, not rush a person from afar. Unless TM was suicidal?

From what I understand, he was going back to his car when the confrontation happened.

Ahhumm... 85% of Duke University undergrads are out of state.

None of this would have happened if George Zimmerman would have minded his own frickin' business.
