The very idea they thought this was a good idea tells you everything WRONG with the Left/dems and this administration.

Romney mentioned this the other day, he was going to (and will likely still) hammer obama on it, as the GOP has been doing.
Good for Obama. The more he does the more enemies he makes, hopefully it will be enough.

But this is truly who these people are, what they would do if they didn't have an election to worry about.

He's already being sued left and right, the more people find out about these under the radar regulations, the better.

Furthermore, as I bolded, the plan allowed for children to be able to do hazardous work on farms owned by parents.
That still did not work. What about extended family with farms - uncles, grandparents, etc? This has been going on well, FOREVER, kids working on farms, driving tractors, baling hay, working the fields...but no, the radical Left gets an idea up their derriere that they just can't allow it to happen anymore.

They are just friggin scary and the "transformation" they want for America is nothing the majority of this country would recognize.

Just insane.

Get real OP! Doesn't seem as if they are concerned about kids feeding the chickens and milking the cow.

As many as 500,000 children and teenagers toil in agriculture, an industry consistently ranked as one of the most dangerous industries in America. Last year, 12 of the 16 children under age 16 who suffered fatal occupational injuries worked in crop production, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Just this past August, Oklahoma teens Tyler Zander and Bryce Gannon, both 17, each lost a leg in a grain auger accident. We can prevent these tragedies from happening to other children by implementing the proposed updates to the hazardous orders without delay. The rules won’t impair the rural way of life; they simply put the safety and well-being of children above corporate profit.

Toil.....working on their family farm.

Accidents HAPPEN.

12 out of 500,000?

I guess in the liberal mind, if even ONE was killed "toiling" on the farm, that justifies transforming/regulating the whole thing, right?

What's next? Banning 4H participation? Banning horseback riding?

As long as the accidents, that might have been prevented, happen to someone else...right? I guess in the right wing mind somone else's arse is easier to smack. Typical lack of empathy.

No, the TRADITIONS of this country, like kids working on their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts farm WITHOUT dictates and regulations from the this leftist regime, is absolutely alien to the Left.

They have no idea the history of this country or what goes on in "rural" America, where their food, clothing and other necessities are "created" for them.

Oh...CHOICE, huh..but NOT for farmers and their kids, right? They've been working the land for centuries but all of a sudden big government needs to step in because we have a crisis, right?

The good thing about this CAVE by obama is that once again his supporters are shown his cowardice and political calculations....not that they care.
