They should be careful what they wish for as they may get it. What if God made homosexuals just as He made straights? Are they so certain they know what God desires? Does anyone?

The Bible makes it quite clear. Homosexuality is a sin. Unrepentent sinners are lost.

So what now the gays want to tell folks how to pray?

I think it's pretty silly though there's always a chance the kid in question grows up to be a homo.

Yeah, but the pews are full of unrepentent sinners. I grew up in a church like that one, on my last trip home they mentioned gays in the sermon and so forth.

VERY few even closeted gays would attend a church like that. I don't know why they are patting themselves on the back because the church should be preaching to their congregation about how to live THEIR lives. To be good christians, help the poor, sick, old and so forth.

I just don't see preaching hate as a positive endeavor.
This also goes for all the bigoted gays that want respect for thier views but not others and label christians with a broad brush.

God dictate this book of rules to some angel in his steno pool or was this book written by mere mortals?

Worshipping of sky demons results in this behaviour of villification of fellow human beings deemed acceptable is just one more reason to ignore the whole concept of religion altogether!

People pretending to have an inner channel to who they refer to as a supreme being, have as much currency as any other dictator when they try to impose their compliance upon others.

Religion - bah humbug! Treat others as you yourself would want to be treated; end of story, throw the rest of the stupid book in the trash..

So Christian "love" should embrace actions we don't agree with?

What do you expect to happen?

Now I agree that people should not be applauding anyone they believe is not going to heaven. They should at minimum be praying for those they believe are not going to heaven. Hopefully they are doing something that will bring others to Christ.
