Catholics in the USA have traditionally been overwhelmingly Democrats. The Church's teaching on social justice coincides with much of the Democratic Party's agenda. On economic issues the Catholic Church is very liberal, on social issues very conservative. In sum an anti-libertarian agenda.
I am a CINO myself. My libertarian principles go against much of Catholic Doctrine. Unlike Nancy the Loon I recognize my views are not in line with Catholic teachings.
The fact is the Catholic Church has a 1st Amendment right to present their teachings and to be able to refuse to engage in "sinful" activity as defined by them.
I thnik that is chnaging as they were generally centralist Democrts more close to Clinton tha the leftist of obama and Pelosi.bacially Clinton warned about thsi whe he said you cannot governa this country from the elft. bascaily i think we see just that has from mid term on he has loss support i everey elction and especailly allowed huge state house gains by republicans.
The Catholic Church doesn't deserve to dictate morality until they purge the church of clergy who are sexual predators. The offenders should be criminally prosecuted instead of transferred and hidden in various Catholic institutions.
Yes but the 1st Ammendment prohits tham from enforcing their Church Teachings on the rest of us using Federal Law as a tool.
I'd agree but in this case willing employees of that institution have chosen to place themselves into that situation. No one has forced them to do anything.
Did you say that Nancy knows what ex cathedra means? Maybe neither of you knows from what I read there.
