Yet the other side is supposedly the terrorist. Don't know about you, but if a foreign nation was flying above your town with drones- and then killed a bunch of your community's children, would you not be the one's being terrorized? This war on terror bs is a losing battle. For every one we kill we only create more.

I am not certain if it is the media covering for Obama or fatigue over the story.
Fatigued by death in general.

[only so many stories such as this one can read before it just becomes a blur]

all life is precious, unfortunately life at some point in time ends. it is sad when bombs intended to kill terrorist also create collateral damage, and my heart goes out to those who lost children in a war zone. unfortunately we do have to fight our enemies where they are, instead of where we want them to be, usually because they are cowards that hide behind innocent civilians. it would be great to fight a war in the middle of nowhere to virtually eliminate collateral damage, but until such time as combatants choose to do that, collateral damage happens.

I think Americans care about Americans because their American? If it can happen to a fellow American then surely it can happen to them

A predator drone strike is a military action planned by people that we believe to be competent.

James Holmes was obviously deranged.

There is no comparison between the two.

Kramercat,

If Americans don't see it first hand or a video most are not concerned. Americans sat back and watched the attack on Iraq. "Shock and Awl", we were entertained at the directed munitions blowing up building after building while downing our beer and Big Macs. We didn't see what was in those buildings was the women and children who were burned, terrorized, horribly injured losing limbs and being blinded by phosphors and becoming orphans for no good reason. We saw what the news media wanted us to see.

A month ago there was a minor story of 40 shot dead in Chicago on one weekend. The following weekend there was an improvement with only 30 killed the same way. 1400 people die each day as a result of cigarette smoking. There are 3700 abortions in the US everyday.

The news today made mention of the most searched topics on the web over the past few days. The subjects were diets and vacations.

For most Americans, if it doesn't directly effect them they just don't care.

Let's be truthful, do you care as much if one of those children died (either place), or one of yours?

BTW, 155,000 people die every day. If you feel as much for all them, well . . .

155,000 didn't die today because this country killed them under the pretense of spreading democracy.

Saddam had women and kids sleeping in his palace when he was under attack.. the enemy of other countries use their kids as shields and teach them to throw grenades at our soldiers... they think differently than we do.
