Somehow I feel the Court (the Justices) are far more learned than you - don't you think?

Learned yes, right on this subject, no. I agree with the minority of the members of the court who disagree with the majority on this issue.

according to the terrorists that run things there its 168 million children and there was no basis for any attack of any sort in the first place. also bin laden was not living 1 block for 5 years from a military academy none of that ever happened. same old stuff as afganistan, they were just farmers working their fields, they were not planting bombs in the roads. the black hawk helicopters murdered them for no reason at all.
sounds alot like the law suits in detroit about the police doesnt it?
for the game players for the people of the terrible misunderstanding, police and military actions are not tragedies, they are opportunities.

Please forgive my callousness - I forgot how much more valuable an American life is than a Pakistani's.

It is disturbing that there is a difference between "victims" and "civilian casualties," the former outweighing the other when its really the same thing.

I understand it looks good on your CV-s and it makes you feel so enamored with yourself when you don that "respectable citizen" suit - but really, do you think the rest of the world is THAT imbecilic?

Humans all over the world "volunteer", a whole lot more and much more heavily than what you do. It's called helping your family, helping your relatives, helping your friends in need and your neighbors, doing what needs done when the need arises, being a human without thinking about it.

What the rest of the world DOESN'T do is keep track of the hours they "do what needs done" so they can rub their respectability in the face of dupes; they fail to give an official name to "doing what needs done" and they simply do it. Not for that CV or for that "respectable citizen" suit, but because their heart and instinct tells them their help is needed and it's time to jump and help.
Not in a million years would it occur to them that what they just did is called "volunteering'.

Many of you here who pretty much argued that it is OK to view other humans as "collateral damage" as long as they are far enough from you, should frankly be imprisoned.
Whether you "volunteer" or not. I bet you'd find some volunteering hours on that Holmes CV too if you looked carefully enough.
I think you are confusing me with others. Please don't lump me in with other people,
I am an individual. Maybe you shouldn't post if it makes you get so full of angst.

The 9-11 attack has apparently granted the US military privilege to willy-nilly bomb whoever and wherever they please - which is precisely the reason that forces within the Bush-Cheney regime aided and abetted that attack.

Over 250 civilians have been murdered in Chicago in 2012, and we aren't even at war. The media seems even less interested in Chicago then Pakistan.
