times have changed it isn't shameful to be unmarried and pregnant as it was then. the reason why there is not a need now for back alleys or self done coat hanger abortions is because abortion is legal, done by a doctor in a clean office...not because there is more welfare.
there is as many reasons to have a baby now days as there always was if you want a baby.
