Does it bother you ladies out there to have a largely male-dominated government making decisions about abortion?
Make no mistake about it... i don't like abortion. It does not sit well with me. That being said, if i was in government, I don't think i would feel comfortable making that decision-- not being a woman, not knowing what it is like to worry about being raped, not having to bear the burden of carrying a child to birth. I would appoint a group of female advisers, some pro-life and some pro-choice, to discuss all perspectives in detail.
I am pro-choice for numerous reasons. That being said, if the government has to pay for your abortion then the government should have a say in your decision and whether or not you should have a tubaligation at some point. *hint 5 children on welfare and no means of self sufficiency when it comes to your life or your children's*

Why not: If the government has to pay to house and feed your children, then the government should have a say whether or not you should have a tubal ligation at some point?

It will be here soon, just like China. You will need permission to have children, the number and even the gender.
That is what people say each time they are told another freedom of theirs is falling away. Then it happened.
OK....I'll play.
If we don't stop women from aborting, the next thing ya know, the government will require every woman to have at least two children. That is her duty.....as a God fearing American!
At the age of, let's say, 26, if a woman has not procreated, the government will snatch her up and have her impregnated in a government lab!

It will be here soon, just wait and see.
I think the gloom and doom is a one way street for most people. They can't see all sides of anything.

if the government (that's me and my taxes) has to pay for your brat's education then the government should have a say in your decision and whether or not you should have a tubaligation at some point. *hint , more than two children and YOU pay for your kid's education.

Yes, taking away a woman's FREEDOM to chose to have a baby or not is terrible!
