There's hardly any profit in the aisles of a grocery store. They make their money on the perimeter(meat/produce/seafood/deli). The ACA did nothing good for those types of businesses, and in turn did nothing good for their employees.

Liberals and Democrats have never been known for extraordinary foresight. NEVER.
Safeway, Publix, Fresh Market, Trader Joe's, Costco, and Target are just a few examples of companies that provide health insurance for their part-time employees.

I guess they don't make any profit in their aisles either, and just receive funding to cover health insurance from the fruits and vegetables fairy. Safway had a $150 million profit last year, psbtw.

Question, since the this provision, like most others have yet to take affect, I find it peculiar that this is actually the result of the Affordable Healthcare Act.

There have been several threads right here discussing companies who are REDUCING hours. Not to mention, it's been all over the internet.

Let me repeat: Full time employees are being reduced to part time employees. It's happening all over the country.

Sorry you missed all that.

Isn't the heavy hand of big government just wonderful?

Like limiting employee hours to avoid giving them benefits is something new?

Just more whiny "It's Obama's fault" self-Righteous BS.

Well, it sure the hell isn't Bush's fault. Nor was anything else, but that didn't stop silly lefties from spewing.

Ya know when something happens as a direct result of something else, it's pretty safe to blame the something else.

Yes. It IS 0bama's fault. He's a moron hell bent on destroying America. He calls it 'fundamentally changing'. Funny way of describing total destruction.

And the others like Apple export their jobs to China where the costs are so much less.

People need to realize that this will not only be with Kroger but thousands of companies across this country. Businesses are in business to make money and not pay out additional benefits because of Obamacare. Obamacare when it goes into total affect will hurt our unemployment and underemployment worse then it is now. You will see unemployment go over 9% or maybe higher. Obama is slower but surely destroying this country with all his bad decisions and bad policies.

Now it's down to 28 hours instead of 38. That's $70 a week minimum. That might not seem like much to you but for some it will be the difference between sharing a room with a roommate and homelessness. Oh, and let's not forget we will be adding a health insurance fee to their expenses.
