I see a great future for this country. I think the statistic is 27 straight months of private sector job growth. The economy is slowly improving and will continue to improve as long as our politicians don't try to rock the boat with extremist policies.
The rise of natural gas and hydralic fracutring is giving the USA a cheap and plentiful fuel source. I can see a day when the US becomes self sufficient in energy.
Because of all this cheap fuel, manufacturing is making a comeback as companies "onshore" to the US. I work in the electronics field and you will not believe how good the latest generation of robots have gotten. Manufacturers are building completely automated factories that will make the USA the most productive country in the world. And productivity = wealth.
Maybe it is because I am just naturally optimistic? Can someone explain to me why Republicans are so scared about the future?
its really not about rep. its about old people. old people know that if you go to a restaurant order alota drinks and food at the end of the party a couple of large waiters and the manager are guna come over and collect. y generation has not learned this yet.
Seriously, I think I heard the same thing from the right b4. Maybe they buy into the notion of 'self-fulfilling prophesies', and really hope that it will end so they can say "I told you so".

BTW, dunno that the GOP is that worried, so much as the extremist Neo-cons, who are damn near afraid of most everything and everyone to begin with... illegals, minorities, feminazis, edu-macated elites, lib-ruls, joos, atheists, muslims, gays, etc..
in short, they're petrified over anything different or having to do with "change"!!
Hmmm..... Let's see debt comes to mind (of course now it will only increase!) Gas prices- it's only a matter of time before they start rising again, More and more companies going out of business- hence even higher unemployment rate, Socialism, I could go on and on. There are a lot of things to be worried and scared about.
Because multiracial marriage has been legalized and now same-sex marriage is starting to be legalized.
Because women have been given rights and now they want to choose how they use those rights.
Because they want to intervene in every world conflict, but cut taxes so we can borrow money from China to pay for it.

The list goes on...
At the expense of our rights.
