It's amazing that whenever a democrat wins a duly held election, the fanatical right in certain states like Texas start talking about succession. I never heard anyone from Massachusetts, Vermont or New York call for succession under the Bush Administration? It may be that blue state residents are more patriotic than red state residents.
Exactly, the funny part is that The "Blue East Coast States", from say Maine down to Pennsylvania/Maryland would be among the World's most powerful, wealthiest and educated countries if they were to secede. Ditto for California.
But you don't see people from there saying "screw Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, etc. I'm tired of them taking all of our tax dollars and giving nothing in return".
We are some of the most Patriotic hard headed independent love of country you'll ever meet. We don't always agree but We get along well between the Black, White, Hispanic and Asian people. We want this country to suceed and hate to see anyone do harm or hurt.
Got a need or a problem... call a Texan. Got Katrina or Sandy kicking your azz... call a Texan. We are always the first to lend a hand or give you money. We love our Gays, our Religious, try to welcome everyone with open arms.
Texans believe in freedom and will fight to keep as much freedom as possible. Texans believe in hard work and creativity. We have some of the best and worst politicians. Yes we love our guns, our rights and try to keep our Taxes as low as possible.
Texas loves the US and does not want it to go down the toilet.
Your clue would be "some" not the majority. "Some" can't tolerate a "lightie" in the White House either. Pot, kettle, black. By the way, you do know that Obama is half white, don't you? Sorry, had to be said.
Please. The venom spewed by some is because Obama is not "pure" white. Worse yet, he's half BLACK.
I'm starting to get behind this Texas-leaving-the-Union thing. Let everyone who thinks (and looks) alike move to one place. We use our passports to breeze through on the 40 ** enjoying a good steak in Amarillo **while they're all rationing toilet paper and telling each other how to live off the grid. When it's 100 degrees and a hurricane is about to swamp Galveston.
(Plus the lines at the DMV will be shorter. How cool will that be?)
And...... they'll be stuck with Jerry Jones!! LOL. Do we get to vote on this because I think this is the most fabulous idea ev-ah!
