While maintaining the right to own convention arms, restoring the assault weapons ban and having a clip limit available for purchase. Also, we need a national gun registry with biometric identification, and I'd favor a GPS tracking device on the most powerful weapons/ammo.

The first offense committed not abiding by all gun laws should require a mandatory jail term and be prosecuted as a felony.

I agree with this. I also agree with mandatory background and mental health checks for each person in every household that has a registered gun permit. FOR EVERYONE in the household--not just who the weapon is registered to. They should have these checks once per year. There should also be a mental health flag to crossmatch with anyone who receives a mental health diagnosis to any registered weapons they may own. It may not be the end all be all of answers, but new measures are certainly needed.

Absolutely. It will simply never be 12/13/2012 ever again. If it does not change, all who fought for the status quo are accomplices to the next series of mass murders.

YOu guys just don't like guns...admit it!

If it was REALLY about saving lives...you'd know that GUNS are close to the bottom of the list of things causing unnecessary deaths...Government run health care is at the TOP BTW....what are you trying to do about THAT? NOTHING!
