Anyway you cut there is more death by car than anything else in this country..
There are aprox 45,000 fatal auto accidents in this country a year. There are aprox 1,000,000 abortion murders in this country each year. Gun killings are a distant 11,000 per year.
NRA says that Israel protects it's schools with armed security and Israel says no we have protected our schools with armed security.
That makes the NRA wrong. Trying to figure this one out. Israel DOES use armed security. Armed security did stop a rash of school attacks. But because one is a psycho and the other a terrorist it makes it different?
The Jewish state, which has long faced threats of terrorist strikes in crowded locations including schools, takes an all-of-the-above approach to safety in the classroom. Fences, metal detectors and armed private guards are part of a strategy overseen by the country’s national police. And the idea of armed teachers in the classroom, which stirred much controversy in the wake of the U.S. attack, has long been in practice in Israel, though a minority of them carry weapons today.
Oren Shemtov, CEO of Israel’s Academy of Security and Investigation, noted that attacks typically happen in a matter of minutes, and said gun-toting teachers could, at the very least, buy time for kids to escape while police race to the scene.
I could care less how other government run their countries.
But funny to note the leftists suddenly caring about what Israel thinks.
This is about the ignorance, lies and propaganda spread by an organization that exists solely to protect and sustain the business interests of gun manufacturers.
