That way, maybe you'll start understanding what I mean when I call this hypocrisy. The elites know that children are the favorite target of criminals, so they protect their children. Meanwhile, they make it illegal for our children to enjoy those same protections.
If children of rich people are paying for extra protection, then it is less likely that they will be victims as a result of this extra protection. The extra protection is working exactly as intended.

Children in public schools aren't receiving the same protection as private schools, because parents aren't willing to pay the extra taxes required to provide for additional security in public schools.

If Obama's kids went to fracking good old PS 19 in the Bronx they would have their own private security detail. Just like the Bush twins, Chelsea Clinton, Carter's four kids, Gerald Ford's and Nixon's two daughters.

Talk about your false equivalences.

If you want more protection for your kids ... then you need to pay for them to go to a private school, just like Obama is doing now.

If you want to protect your child in the manner of a president's children then seek out a private school that meets your those standards and pay for it with your own money.

Protection costs money.
On the bright side, folks, we've finally discovered the one thing liberals don't want to spend tax money on: Protecting children.

If folks want to read about the hypocrisy of federal security, pick up a copy of “In the President’s Secret Service: Behind the Scenes with Agents in the Line of Fire and the Presidents They Protect,” and read about how Jenna Bush would call daddy and tell him to have her detail to back off, or try to elude them while at the same time creating the department of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act for the rest of us.

In fact, the agent said, Jenna called her father many times when she wanted the agents to back off. “The president would call the special agent in charge,” the agent says. “The SAIC [special agent in charge] would call the detail leader, the detail leader would call the guys and say, ‘Hey, you’ve got to back off.’”

Guess again .... liberals are the ones who believe in raising taxes to meet our needs for whatever our nation requires.

It's you conservatives that don't want to raise taxes ever!

You conservatives are always fighting against tax increases, which is why our nation is severely in debt, and can't afford better protection in public schools.

You conservatives can blame YOURSELVES for what happened in Newtown!!!

Sorry, wrong again. I've always been happy about my tax dollars going to all aspect of public education. On the rare occasion that I play the Lottery I always joke that I just paying a few dollars of extra school tax.

It's kinda funny to see people who pretend to be some kind of conservatives demand massive government intervention and massive government spending just because they think a "good conservative" always agrees with NRA.

Obama can send his kids anywhere he chooses. He chooses to pay for a better school with even more protection.

And secret service protection is ALWAYS given to the children of presidents.

Ah, I see...

O.K. then.

Liberals are even against ex-military fathers protecting young children on a volunteer basis.

Wow.
