The numbers of induced abortions have been falling over the last 25 years.

Yes - I was solely focusing on women who were pregnant.
Well that makes sense, if a woman is pregnant and going to planned parenthood for an abortion, they are going to get one.

It takes a generation or two before changes happen with immigrants.
So it's not an apples to apples comparison with other states.

And if you go digging in the Texas numbers you'll find they are not "conservatives" at all, but solid Dem voters year after year after year.
Well Texas should be investing more in educating not less, but it does make you guys fit in with the other conservative states that have high teenage birth rates.

And from the looks of it, your state is doing a poor job with preventing teenage pregnancies, so thanks for helping make us one of the highest among developed nations.

And is that a good thing or a bad thing having a high teenage pregnancy rate? Also it is funny to listen to the Cons whine about all the poor having babies adding to the dependents on the government issue.

You need to understand the Hispanic culture more and then you'd understand.
And this is the culture from where they came.

Poor immigrants typically have large families so they can financially help out.
Education is not a priority..money is.
Read your US history book regarding that for proof.

Hispanics are not a big demographic when you look at our welfare programs.

Lack of money is not the reason for high teenage birth rates.
And each state may have their own unique reason behind the numbers.

But people will use stats to make their side look better.
Notice I didn't argue conservative or liberal in any of my posts whatsoever.
Yet you seem to put the sole blame for the high numbers on one political party.

Playing "my side is better than your side" will not solve problems in America.

Well your state should probably worry more about its own problems and cutting funding to Planned Parenthood isn't going to decrease any of your state's problems.

It has nothing to do with what state politics support.
Immigrant Hispanics are more religious and more anti-abortion and do believe in big families.

You need a few generations of living here to change the mindset.

They took PP's numbers regarding services after women become pregnant. 91% of the pregnant women who received services from PP had an abortion procedure. I didn't say anything about "other services". I was just noting that if they come in pregnant, most likely they won't be when they are done.

You can look at the 2011 numbers for yourself, since I used 2010 numbers in the OP. The annual report is at the bottom of the page.

In 2011

333,964 received abortion services. (91.5%)
2,300 received adoption services. (0.6%)
28,674 received pre-natal services. (7.9%)

Again - those are the only services provided to pregnant women.

I'm sure they do many more services that are important. But they do abortion at more than a 90% rate for women who are pregnant. That's who they are. That's what they do. No tricks with the numbers.
And....all of this is very misleading. Most women, even poor ones, who know they are pregnant and plan on carrying the pregnancy, will seek out a gynocologist who will perform birthing services. They will not go to PP becasue they do not provide birthing services.

Most who go to PP that already know they are pregnant.....are not plannying on carrying the pregnancy from the get go. Obviously, some change their minds.

Some, who go to PP before they realize they are pregnant, will receive minimal pre-natal care until they find a provider who will provide birthing services.
