Since when?? I honestly haven't heard of that, but know people still smoke them around here.

(and no, it isn't pot I'm smelling - at least not all the time, LOL)

The Food and Drug Administration said this morning that it is, effective immediately, banning cigarettes with fruit, candy or clove flavors because they lure adolescents into smoking. "Almost 90% of adult smokers start smoking as teenagers. These flavored cigarettes are a gateway for many children and young adults to become regular smokers," said FDA commissioner Dr. Margaret A. Hamburg. Studies have shown that 17-year-old smokers are three times as likely to use flavored cigarettes as those over the age of 25.
In June, President Obama signed into law a bill that would allow the FDA to regulate tobacco, although it cannot ban tobacco or smoking outright. The agency is now considering measures to regulate menthol cigarettes and flavored tobacco products other than cigarettes.

I've had a driver's license for decades across 3 states.
This year I'm up for renewal again. But this year I have to show up with about 8 forms of identity to prove that I am who I am and have been for all these years.

Our government is running so scared that soon no one will be able to prove who they are because all forms of identity will be suspect.

I'm in the schools. I've gone through e-verify to get that state sanctioned school teacher's ID with a photo. But no..not good enough to go along with my license.

Do you have information information on any American who is the victim of an enforced disappearance?

I guess some times it's not such a happy thing to be a Texan after all. In the last four years I've had licenses in three states as well, none of them Texas, most recently Colorado just a few months ago. In none of them did I need anything more than my previous license and something showing my address.

To get a license in Florida, you have to provide a birth certificate, proof of SS #, two proofs of address, and proof of name change, if different from BC. Renewals can be done online.

So, thus far since my post, the 'rights' Americans have lost appear to be: the right for children to enjoy menthol cigarettes, and licensing requirements for interstate truckers?

I don't do cigarettes and I don't want to be a trucker, so neither one of those things matter to me. And there is enough evidence to suggest that cigarettes will harm a child's lungs. Second hand smoke has been known to kill infants.

So far, I would agree that the so-called "losses" are kind of trivial.
