Baylor is CHRISTIAN college. Their Journal is NOT a peer-reviewed scientific Journal.
Just because the ridiculous Creationist "Discovery Institute" claims something is from a peer-reviewed Scientific Publication doesn't mean it is.
Considering you have a history of using the Church of Scientology as a source, I'm not surprised you don't know the difference.
That is not Baylor University's publication. And if it had been, I seriously doubt (and that is being very generous) it would have passed any peer review of Baylor's Biology department.
It's your understanding of evolution that is flawed, not evolution itself.
What about the understanding of time? The understanding that life has existed for BILLIONS years ago for BILLIONS of generations. During this time various events drastically altered the earth and wiped out MILLIONS of species. The strong had to get stronger in order to survive. Populations split up and adapted to their environment. Over time the differences got so large that the two became different species, while at the same time belonging to the same genus.
....But I am guessing that because the human life time is less than a century, humans can't see the fact that they had billions of generations before them...
What if the universe created it self out of boredom?

Honestly I think this is the biggest problem with lots of people (not including the ones who flat out deny that any evolution at all happens - those people are stupid beyond help). The time scales involved are difficult to wrap one's head around. We have no real intuitive sense of what a billion years even is. It doesn't help that you have lots of YEC types who don't even acknowledge that the planet is more than few thousand years old.
Yeah.
It's just as good as a guess as the guess stating that the creator of the universe has always been.
