You really don't expect us to believe all these people were smoking it before it became legal do you?
Newly legal means more people will be using it, increasing the danger of more people driving while high.

Bob.
Yes, the overwhelming majority of them probably have been smoking marijuana all along.

You really have no clue about how many people use it, do you? https://www.popsci.com/survey-says-p...led-since-2002

Something like 60% of american voters support legalization. Not all of them are users, but even if only half of them are users, that means 30% of american voters use marijuana. That's a sizeable chunk of people.

Well, actually that will probably end up supporting full legalization for pot, or cause cigarettes to be made illegal, one or the other.

After all, cannot make one product/ industry exempt while targeting another for the same thing, if they use the cancer threat as a reason to keep pot illegal, that would be bad news for big tobacco!

There is no way to use a cancer threat as a reason to keep pot illegal because it does not cause cancer. They look really really hard for it, but can't find any. Hmmm.

50 years usage by hundreds of millions of people with no documented cases.

They're both bad. I will never hire a cig or pot smoker.

Because = No Studies yet. That should take 40 years - 20 years for them to develop cancer, 20 years for the study.
In fact, some of the PSS USA (Pot Smoking States) are getting pressure to allow smoking back in restaurants.

Not if the cancer takes hold.

Cancer is not the reason why it is illegal.

That makes perfect sense! I wish everyone would realize that just because they do or don't do/like something it isn't up to them to decide everyone else should be exactly like they are.

The one thing everyone should have no issue with agreeing on is that this insidious war on drugs has been an utter failure, destroyed lives needlessly, and lined the pockets of judges, politicians, and corporate prison systems.

It was never for the greater good. It was always designed to protect WR Hearst and DuPont's profits.

The best example of crony capitalism, political corruption, and abuse of the public trust prior to Viet Nam.
