Not the same at all - because the obedient Asian woman can leave when she chooses, plus she is usually getting money off the man (in some form or another).
Yeah but building strawmen based on hysterical assumptions and attacking that is easier than having an informative discussion based on facts and the truth.

Personally, I find some difference in a man who says he finds Asian women attractive and the man who actually obtains a mail order bride.
Asian women don't do it for me at all (I'm a Sir Mix-A-Lot kind of guy). This doesn't mean I'm going to order a bride from the Dominican Republic with the ass the size of Haiti.
My wife is thick, looks great and I used charm, wit (definitely not looks) to get her interested in me.

No difference at all. how someone meets a partner is irrelevant to the nature and quality of that relationship

It would have been cool of the OP had included a poll asking white men if they have a fetish for Asian women. I don't know what the percentage is, but there is a sub-culture.
To all the posters who say "it's nobody's business" and "consenting adults can do what they want" . . . that's a very superficial analysis of the issue.
The psychology and sociology of this subject is fascinating. I wish I had seen the documentary. Does anyone know where it can be viewed?

I think it boils right down to the submissive stereotype, and these men needing to have what they think is a submissive woman. Thing is, women are not submissive. Cultures might force them to behave submissive, but women themselves are not submissive.
