You sound dangerously close to that pinko Jesus with that statement.

If my mom had job, or they could afford buying a plan there wouldn't be any problem.

This is the Politics forum, and if one starts a thread about health care here - it is going to turn into a political discussion.

You don't throw red meat into a tiger cage and expect the cats to ignore it.

As for leaving Wisconsin and becoming an Australian citizen - what is keeping you?
I DID leave, took a job in Oklahoma because I wanted to actually work, being the lazy, government handout dependant libby that I am; and I must be a permanent resident of Australia for 4 years before I can become a citizen. I just have to wait till then. Didn't WANT to have to leave America, but felt I had no choice.

I think the op lied about that. First it is claimed the father was disabled when he came but then it is stated he had a job so was able to come here.

Americans who paid into the system deserve it more than immigrants. Makes sense to most people. Yet there are Americans who can't get assistance.

Jesus never tried to rule over any government or country. He wasn't writing laws or suggesting absurd tax rates.

If you really want to do what Jesus taught -- how about you and the other liberals open up your own wallets and offer to pay for this man's health care that his own children don't want to give him?

Because we have had a ridiculous system run by private health insurance companies and the doc industry that enables people to be free riders. And, ironically, you support that system.

What I would do, is to continue to support a system in which the free riders can continue doing just that, label any attempts to force them to pay a share of the premiums an attack on your freedom, and insist that they be allowed to continue to take money from your pocket. That's what I would do if I were you.
