Innocent children raised by people who choose to live there aren't either.
They don't "choose" to live there, that's where they are stuck due to poverty.

Poverty that their decisions in life placed them in.

The U.S. now has less opportunity for escaping poverty than most other developed nations in the world.

It's not bad "life decisions" when no matter what you "decide" the odds are stacked against you.

You are part of the problem.

There are many, many opportunities in a nation with 300 million people, if you just think outside the box.

There is more to earning a living than sending out resume's and hoping that someone picks you out of the crowd.

For instance, I have a guy i n the neighborhood who goes door to door asking people if they need their gardens/flower beds weeded. I see him working around town all the time.

There's work out there if you really want to work.

I fully agree with you. The liberal argument is that blacks were placed in slavery for hundreds of years, given no opportunities for education, business ownership, land ownership and accumulation of wealth. Even after freedom, blacks were "supposedly" discriminated against and still not given educational opportunities, were discriminated against in the employment sector, in the housing sector, and weren't given GI bill money for college when black troops came back from WWII. Well guess what liberals, in the 60s blacks were finally granted all the same equal rights as whites! The liberals now say that it has only been 50 years since those rights have been in place, and black society needs time to catch up since it takes time to change a community that has been based on low paying labor jobs and no education, into a community of educated professionals. They claim blacks have been catching up very fast since the 60s, but need more time for the whole community to be revamped, just like the Irish and Italian immigrants did who started off in poor, crime ridden communities as well (only they were given GI bill money after WWII and were able to get educations and good jobs). Can you believe they say such garbage? I'm with you, its easy for a kid to break out of a family generational cycle of poverty that goes back hundreds of years, and simply choose to go college. Liberals say the public schools they have to attend in these poor areas don't really set them up for that, I say school is what you make of it! Nonsense. These blacks choose this lifestyle of poverty and crime, it's a choice, just like homosexuality.

.....and the only reason this gets posted here is because of politics.

One side just gives the cities policies a pass and the other side just points to it out of partisan sniping.

Just like if Chicago were a republican dominated city where Bush grew up, we'd have had march after march decrying the cities racist policies and disparate impact of deaths. Instead, they just blame guns.
And you guys blame Obama.
