Darwin at work, operating as needed and expected. How else will the country make room for the next wave of 20 million illegals obama and the government want to import over the next 15-25 years?

Guns are not outlawed in Chicago. They just can't be sold/traded in Chicago. No big deal to shop in the burbs or nearby Indiana. Concealed carry is against the law in Illinois and this will soon change.

FBI indicate that of 46,313 firearm murders in the United States between 2007 and 2011, handguns were used in 33,034. Guns small enough to conceal in your pockets were the weapons of choice in 71 percent of these deaths.

Chicago did not make the Top Ten for Gun Homicides in 2012.

America's 10 Deadliest Cities 2012

I do not recall noticing anyone tracking gun deaths in Baltimore, New Orleans or St. Louis, places with looser gun laws.

Or perhaps if more people were unarmed in the ghetto there would be less shootings.

Obviously, you do not live, work or entertain yourself in neighborhoods with substantial gang presence.

Take a stroll up, say Lotus Ave between Washington and West End some warm evening and come back and tell us about it.

Note: All the gang members wear cute stickers with smiley faces that say "Welcome to the hood. I represent the fill in the blank gang."

They didn't make the list because Chicago refused to release their homicide numbers to the FBI-

I wonder why there is no front page headline news on this (I don't really)? How about all the black on black murders which occurred in Oakland in the past few months? Los Angeles? New York? Pittsburgh? And I could go on and on. Of course, NO ONE cares about these deaths and gun related crimes. NO ONE cares a thousand transients died all across America yesterday.

But hell, kill 20+ upper class white children and WORLD comes to stop. Where is Obummer NOW demanding "action?" Where are ANY of the anti gun, "pro people" NOW demanding action? No where to be found.

Just continues to show what a bunch of hypocritical liars these supposed liberals are.

Because the urban gun murder rate skews the US statistics upward.

For example, if you remove Chicago, the rest of the state of IL has a gun murder rate comparable to Canada.
Chicago is something like 5x higher than the rest of the state.

People try to use the gun murder rate to push national gun control so....that makes all the big gun-violence contributors like Chicago fair-game. Not to mention the fact that Chicago is constantly blaming guns and not ever saying that their internal policies are a contributing factor.

Of course, many are just out gunning for Obama but you can't wave your hands and say "no fair" when Chicago is smack in the middle of the national conversation over gun control etc.

Chicago is not the end all of gun violence in this country. There is more than one city/town/village in this country.
