The Court leaving the bench and recessing proceedings as she did, IMO, was no big deal. I've seen much worse. I've seen Judges rip attorneys up one side and down the other outside the presence of the jury. It's her courtroom, and one of the duties of the judge, is to start and stop proceedings at his/her discretion. People who think Judges get paid to be "polite" to attorneys are enormously mistaken. Legal arguments are not about "polite" although for the most part attorneys and the judges do abide by courtroom decorum standards. Last night was no exception. The Judge announced that she was not going to rule and was going to read the case law; West was being very disrespectful to the Court by continuing on, and even O'Mara was trying to get him to stop. It's clear everybody is tired. They are working long, long hours. However, when the Judge says basically "that's it for tonight," then that's it, the end.
Can you answer a burning question many of us on this board have? That is the row of buttons to the left of the jurists that looks like elevator buttons? It would be behind and in between the judge and anyone testifying.
As you said I can completely understand TM's reaction to being followed. No one who is honest can claim being followed at night would sit well with them.
GZ as the adult, as the trained person had multiple opportunities to defuse the situation by simply identifying himself.
That said as someone once said: "your right to hit someone ends the moment you touch their nose."
No one knows why TM hit GZ.
I believe a cowardly worm like GZ was afraid for his life. That doesn't mean I agree with the shoot. I think TM would have thumped him and left him. People talk about he liked to fight. There is a mile of difference between thumping someone and killing them.
Not always, one can quickly lead to the other without killing being the intent. All it takes is one hit in the right place or one bounce of the head just a bit too hard. That's the risk you take on when you place your hands on someone else.
As for not liking being followed? I'd give you that. I wouldn't like it either but given today's atmosphere and given the fact that there are criminals of all sizes, races and ages and lastly that human life is so "cheap" nowadays I don't know that I'd physically confront anyone unless sure that they're unarmed like not having a gun, knife, bat etc.
I would certainly think twice about openly confronting someone following me. I might depending what my gut was saying. But then that is also why I wouldn't go around following people at night. getting shot for less has happened.
GZ and TM 2 people who didn't know when or simply refused to let it go. It is a shame that someone had to die over stupidity.

Hey guys! I'd like to remind you all of the above. We've had three threads about this trial closed in the recent past for the above. This thread is veering dangerously in that direction.
Am I the only one that is burned out on all these experts grand standing their skills..What does that have to do with what happened, give us your opinion....Can we get to the point already??
EDIT To Add: He reached out, good advertising opportunity.
Yeeah. This guy's testimony has been 70 % self-promotion.
On the gym website where Zimmerman went for his MMA training, they now have a link to the "Zimmerman training," to enquire about the training he received. I don't know why. Obviously the results were pathetic. lol
So this guy has an impressive resume. What's the point?
(I get the idea I'm the only one watching the actual trial. Is it really necessary to hash and rehash?)
The defense just wants to make sure the jury believes the witness is an expert.

LOL I agree. Zimmerman isn't a fine example of success for all the time and money he spent at their gym.

I am as well. They spent forever going over Dr. Mao's credentials yesterday. I will not be turning on my TV today. I have a lot of work that requires my full concentration. I will probably check online from time to time but will catch up later.

Nope. You're definitely not the only one.
