You are saying that there are no women Christians, no minority or democrat Christians! You have no clue what you are talking about. You are flaming!

This is about a biased interview by Fox, stick to the topic.
Okay. You will enjoy this

If it's a debate, then it looks even -worse- on Fox News, because the person they had debating the guy is an absolute idiot.

BTW, bad or good interview, I found the guy a pompous, arrogant jerk..!!!I also found the interviewer a little shallow..

Sarah Palin is a Fox News contributor.

"Populace". The word you're looking for is "populace".

Not really. The guy really does have a Masters in theological studies from Harvard, and while his PhD was in Sociology, his area of study was Sociology of Religion. Do a Google search on Sociology of Religion to learn what this area of study entails:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sociology_of_religion

Quote:
Sociology of religion is the study of the beliefs, practices and organizational forms of religion using the tools and methods of the discipline of sociology. This objective investigation may include the use of both quantitative methods (surveys, polls, demographic and census analysis) and qualitative approaches such as participant observation, interviewing, and analysis of archival, historical and documentary materials.[1]
Additionally, he has remained active in this area, conducting research, giving talks, and writing multiple books. It has been a large part of his professional career.

In other words, he is a hell of a lot more qualified to write on this topic than beauty barbie Lauren Green - or you, for that matter.

And anyway, the central point you and beauty barbie don't get is that whether you ultimately agree with his arguments or not, his Muslim background is wholly irrelevant to his qualifications in writing the book - at least to intelligent people.

The book does not bash Jesus or Christianity.

Islam requires the belief in Jesus.

Zealot is a NYT best seller.

There is perhaps no finer reading than the legends concerning Jesus and Mohammed, written by anonymous people, like Matthew and Luke who were not eyewitnesses. Some of these stories have Mary marrying a widower, Joseph at age 10-12. According to an unknown midwife, Mary was a virgin at the time of birth. The story stuck.

Polygamy was common stuff back in those days. Women were considered property, like livestock. Young girls were routinely made available for marriage before puberty. Life expectancy was in the 35-40 age range. There was no concept of childhood back then. 5 year olds were expected to work.
1000+ years later and "childhood" was applicable to only the wealthy and powerful.

No one knows if Jesus married.
