He may not be judging (as if anyone asked him to), but the Catholic church won't be marrying gays anytime soon. You can make book on that.
Who is asking them to? I wouldn't expect any church to go against its beliefs to marry same sex couples. Just leave the couples and the churches that do marry ss couples alone. Stop supporting laws that discriminate against ss couples. That goes double for the church of latter day saints.
"When I meet a gay person, I have to distinguish between their being gay and being part of a lobby. If they accept the Lord and have goodwill, who am I to judge them? They shouldn't be marginalized. The tendency (to homosexuality) is not the problem ... they're our brothers."
That's why you don't put your faith in fallible men....even the Pope.
If you think that the Pope just reiterated "love the sinner, hate the sin," then you can't comprehend what you have read.
And the reason that this is a big deal is that it sends a clear message to Catholics in places like Uganda, where the they want to kill people for being gay.
I agree with the Pope who is he to judge, this makes sense. Now what is he going to do about those who read the hate of homosexuals in the Bible? Not all people listen to the Pope....or do they?
