And you wonder why there is white flight from the same areas when they start turning south.
As much as you want to believe that it is not true, most white flight occurs when a SINGLE black family moves into a predominately white neighborhood regardless of the black family's income or behavior. So if you believe a neighborhood is "turning south" as soon as middle class blacks move in them that is a different matter altogether.
Same thing with my father. Now, he didn't grow up poor. He lived in a working class life. He actually came from a family where his parents owned their home. However, the neighborhood was kind of rough when he was there. When he got his college degree(and later another degree), he eventually left. He has never sought out living in a ghetto or a trailer park. He wanted better for his children.
For some reason many whites cannot fathom blacks doing this and moving into a predominate white neighborhood, not realizing that there are few true well-to-do black middleclass places to go. Personally I would rather live in a racially diverse neighborhood. I feel that you can learn alot more from people of different backgrounds

I don't think it is so much a matter of not being able to fathom Blacks voting with their feet and moving into predominantly White neighborhoods. Sometimes it could be a matter of some people do not want any Blacks in the neighborhood, middle class or underclass.
I don't feel middle class blacks do enough to separate themselves from underclass ghetto blacks, it is almost as though good middle class blacks move in and within a few years he underclass follow. You do not see middle class whites living next to white trash scum.

What does this have to do with Blacks of decent means voting with their feet and leaving places rife with a toxic environment? They are only doing what Whites have done.

It may or may not be true, my son lives in the neighborhood where I grew up, right next door to the house I was raised in, in fact my oldest brother still lives there. This was an all white neighborhood and a wonderful place to grow up. There are now several black families living there with no problems, they are evidently good people. I'm sorry, but this has to be watched, because things could start turning south in a moments notice. A few years back one of the black neighbors had some kind of party, well I guess a few of their ghetto friends got drunk and decided to fall asleep in one of the neighbors yards. The cop's came and told them to find a home, lucky they weren't arrested for trespassing. This is what I am talking about, when people are living a decent life why do the continue to associate with ghetto dwellers, they are going to cause you nothing but trouble.
And the point? What is the difference? Yes, there were Whites who left certain places the minute a Black family showed up, based on race. However,there are also Whites who leave only when an area gets too Whenever many White people felt that the area was getting rough, they left. Blacks do the same thing whenever they an area is too rough. What is the difference between a White person looking for greener pasture and a Black person doing it?
