Actually, you see in your history books what it leads to. Not always a criminal mob, but an orderly and organized civil uprising just like how the American revolutionaries did it. Their model is a model in how it's done.

I think a civil uprising is by default contrary to orderly.
Intent is covered in the Federalist Papers It's some very interesting reading.
Indeed the anti-federalist and federalist papers certainly gives insight to the challenges and ideas they faced during THEIR time... but it still gives absolutely zero insight to how they would deal with 21st century issues. IT IS ALL SUBJECTIVE how you think they would respond.

Do you want to know a secret.
The issues then and the issues now are not very different.
Well I underestimated you.... mastering the science of time travel and asking the founders in person about their intent. Impressive....
Otherwise, if you haven't mastered time travel then you are just subjectively interpreting the Constitution like everyone else. Somewhat related, do you have any clue how many different denominations of Christianity have spawned from various interpretations of the Bible?
We don't need time travel.
The intent of the founders is well documented in their writings.
What I'm asking is how do guns SPECIFICALLY protect you against tyranny. By itself a gun is just a thing. It takes a person to pick up and use a gun for it to have any effect. A person needs to use the gun against agent(s) of tyranny (and by using I mean shooting to maim or kill):
Law enforcement personnel enforcing a "tyrannical law"
Politicians who wrote and enacted a "tyrannical law"
Judges who uphold "tyrannical laws"
Government workers who write rules and regulations authorized by "tyrannical laws"
It also raised the question of how do you determine if a government act is "tyrannical"? For example, if you believe that tax collection actions the IRS takes are unconstitutional, does the 2A give you the right to shoot IRS agents attempting to collect?
Ultimately, a person who sees himself as "freedom fighter" is seen by others as a "cop killer", "assassin", and "murderer". It all depends on which end of the gun you stand.
That's ridiculous.
The fruits of an action dictate whether you were a "murderer" or a "freedom fighter".
The men who took down (supposedly) bin laden were hero's in my opinion. A murderer to those who supported him.
Oh God not this again. No, the second amendment was not put in there so you can commit treason. Most likely it was meant to protect against foreign invasion. But there is no way any new government is going to say to the people hey if you don't like the job we're doing just shoot us.
The 2nd amendment was put in place so that the government would fear its people. Nothing more, nothing less.
The fact that big government progressives have been trying to override the 2nd is proof that they do, indeed, fear the people.
They work for us.
