The crux of the problem is that CRs are political animals. Remove politics from CRs and from the raising the debt ceiling, and the problems go away. In the end, there needs to be a change that places the President and Congress in extreme discomfort (literally) for failing to agree on a budget. I just suggested in another thread that it's time to seriously consider passing a law depriving these 536 people of their freedom until they come to an agreement: You don't have to run for office, but if you do, then you are volunteering to be "locked in conclave" after October 1 if there isn't a budget signed, sealed, delivered, and ratified as valid by the CBO. To keep it constitutional, these folks can elect to leave (a reasonably impeachable offense, btw), but in doing so they explicitly give up their right to vote on the matter (or in the case of the POTUS, the right to veto).

What have you been watching?

The house has went from stopping the ACA, then they removed the option to delay the ACA and then they finally went with remove the special exemptions for congress from the ACA....

Blind opposition is following along with the MSM and continuing to not tell the truth...

Why won't harry vote on that?

NO both parties are equally guilty. Both have the ability to compromise and refuse to do so.

Yep, but you will never get people to agree on that.

Okay, good. So why are we still in shutdown? Here's what Michele Bachmann says is the reason:

"This is about opening up the federal government and making it work for the American people. That’s what we’re trying to do, is to get him [Obama] to resolve it."

What does that mean, exactly? That the GOP had to shut down the government to try to get Obama to open up the government? Huh? Now that the ACA is off the table, WHAT, SPECIFICALLY, DOES THE GOP WANT? I've asked this on several different threads and no one on the right will answer it.

Default The media pushing the notion Rs are responsible for shutdown

There is no "notion."

There is no "media conspiracy."

There IS a whole lot of RWNJ denial of reality.

I present this thread as evidence.
