ETA: lol, see above.
the House and senate had agreed in principle to a budget deal. Reid accepted Boehners cuts and the deal was on...Then Ted Cruz convinced Tea Party House members to make a stand on defunding ACA on budget instead of the planned Debt ceiling negotiations. The budget deal offer was pulled and defunding ACA was added to the Budget bill. it passed the House on Sept 20 and was sent to the Senate for thier consderation.

These facts are not in dispute.

Minority rights and protections are part of the Constitution. Minority rule is not.

We've survived a government shut down before. What I find surprising is how little I notice that the government isn't working. Makes one wonder if we really need all of those government employees?

The senate is not where a budget originates. The House has the purse.

This budget is really a political document that outlines priorities for the Democrats who control the Senate.

It doesn't matter what is in dispute or not. This is how the government works. It's part of the checks and balances. They are doing nothing that the other side wouldn't do if the shoe were on the other foot. So they negotiate and come to a compromise. It's not the end of the world.

OK, so you don't know how it's supposed to work. I think I'm done.

The very last thing Brother Obama wants people to even slightly consider, is how little we need Govt. in our immediate lives. He is resorting to his usual "the-sky-is-going-to-fall" BS tactics that he used when he sold that truckload of pucky called the "stimulus". How did that work out for us again??

The CR has to first come out of the house... why? The Senate jacks with it and takes a vote. it either goes back to the house to be jacked with or it goes to the president.

Same with the budget.
