Yes the deficit is a problem but even if we produced a balanced budget tomorrow we would still have problems with the present economy. Right now the focus should be on creating jobs and building confidence, laying off 800,000 workers is detrimental to confidence and does nothing to put people back to work.

Now that the high fives and giggles have stopped in the face of public rage, are the good responsible Republicans going to summon up the courage to actually oppose the angry nut bags? Or are they going to chicken out and bugger off once more while that little band of surly copperheads do their best to drag us all down into anarchy and a replay of the Great Depression?

Shame on them all. The United States of America is not their plaything, even if they are developmentally challenged.
Speaking of nutbags how about those angry OWS nuts on the liberal left? Pot, kettle, black.

Yeah, I hated it when OWS shut down the government and threatened to take the country into default if they didn't get their way.

Oh, wait...

So far we are waiting for the House to debate and hash out, then vote on a new budget funding bill to send th the senate for their consideration.

So yes, were are all waiting for the resumption of the process.

the house has sent to the senate 41 bills repealing or defunding ACA, all were voted on in the senate and fail to pass. We may be waiting in vane if the House sends up #42.
According to the OP this is the way Congress is suppose to work There is no way in God green world that a freshman Senator should be able to take over an established party and force a shutdown of the government based on the funding from billionaries like the Kochhead brothers

If Republicans used this tone more often in their discussions - perhaps people would actually agree with you. These past few years, Republicans have been more interested in pushing people away (moochers, losers, deadbeats, . . . ) than on bringing them on board with their message.

The fact is that there are moochers, losers and deadbeats in our society. So the Republicans are the bad guys for stating the facts?

I watched and listened, pretty much for the first time, to Ted Cruz on TV today. What a strange, caustic and scary little person he is and I wondered if this was a preview of his campaign if he gets the nod to run for president. The republican party seems to be on a suicide mission and if this guy gets the nod the republicans could save everyone time and money and just hand the presidency to the democrats. If he does go forward, it will be entertaining (in a sick way) watching him bury himself and his party.

Using diversionary tactics are you now? You mentioned some so-called anger by the teapartiers and I countered with the anger of the OWSers. Thus, pot, kettle, black. As for the shutdown both parties are responsible for that. Sorry that the liberal left won't admit that.

Nor does suggesting an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens with 23 million Americans out of work create jobs for them, put them back to work and create confidence. Just what party is guilty of that?

He scared you, did he.

You actually took the time to post that? You must care about where Ted is going in the party.
