Further... the light from these stars record historical events. Supernovae. Colliding galaxies.

Now, the creationist response to the problem of ancient light has always been that "God created the light en route." The problem there is those historical events. If what creationists claim is true, then God is a liar, having faked historical events from millions and billions of years ago that never actually took place specifically it would seem for the purpose of falsely convincing people that the universe in billions of years old.

I personally place very few expectations on any omnipotent being. But two of them are that he not be a liar, and that he be capable of writing a single unambiguous volume of prose. The god of Islamo-Judeo-Christianity fails both expectations.

It depends on what you mean by "created." If you simply mean "caused" your question is moot. Everything is caused. If you mean "caused on purpose and with a plan" then most things in the universe answer your question by demonstration; all are caused but almost nothing is caused purposefully or with a plan.

And there is your conceptual error, right there. Why do you assume the process needed a start? After all, as an admitted theist, you already have no problem in believing in things that are eternal and uncreated; in your case, you already accept that God "always existed." Right?

The difference between the philosophical materialist and the theist is that materialists see no particular use for the God step. If something can be eternal and uncreated... why not the universe?

Those are not the only two options.

Something brought about creation.....it deserves to be discussed and can be without being "religious".
The Supreme Court has repeatedly disagreed with you.

Just curious. How old do you think the earth is? How old do you think the sun is?
