Most of the NEW enrollees are qualifying for Medicaid which is a net drain on taxpayer money. These people are not contributing one penny to the pool.

What does it matter!?! It matters that our President lied to the American people to get support for the bill. It matters that he lied to get re-elected. He said you could keep your insurance because your 2010 policy was grandfathered, but he knew regulations were written that said any policy change at all (increased or decreased premiums, change of deductions, or whatever) would mean your policy could not be grandfathered. I expect politicians to lie. They lie about what they knew and when they knew it, but not about the actual effects of a domestic policy that every single person is forced to comply with or be in trouble with the IRS. The IRS is the one government body that can confiscate your property if you don't comply. That's scary stuff.

Every time Obama opens his mouth he is lying.

Where we live, you're only required to buy flood insurance if you live in a floodplain. Otherwise, it's optional.
But that concept is too easy and doesn't involve enough government control for this administration's liking...
Well, if you can't force older people to pay for maternity coverage, how are the younger subsidy-qualifying people going to get maternity coverage?

Gomexico, are you saying NBC is a shill for the GOP?

lol gomexico, NBC who broke the story has always been a shill for Obama. This was a key focus on the campaign and Obama and his administration knew they were lying. How is it that the president can blatantly lie to Americans to get our votes and get away with it?

And thankfully it was NBC and not Fox News, so his supporters like Gomexico can actually believe it instead of dismissing it outright if it came from Fox.

Barack is like the pimp who hangs out at the bus stop talking to the young girls. "Hey baby, I know how you can make some quick money" and "No, you don't have to sell your body."

Just like the captain, going down with the ship, even if its your own fault you went full steam ahead, directly into the iceberg shouting, "people can still get in the rafts, whats the problem"?

Obama understands he is playing to a base of low-information voters
