You appear to be under the impression that the US is at war with Libya.
US Marines. But then again, the embassy was in Tripoli, and was guarded by the Marines, while the attack happened in Benghazi, where they had CIA and SEALs. It is tragic that it happened, but it did not happen the way this book seller said it happened.

What tragedy do we ever have all the facts. The Honest way to conduct an investiagtion to ta gather all the information, UN-baised, UN-varnished, and make a assessment.
The problem with the current investigations is that they went into the investigation "loaded for Bear". You cant have a honest investigation if you are trying to prove a point.
Get the facts....good or bad, and let the chips fall where the may.
What are the survivors going to add? What Obama's actions were that day? What Peneta discussed and with whom? The motivation and backing of the attackers? The possibility, reasoning and decision to or not to attempt to send troops?
There are still questions, the survivors have little to add to the answers.
The morning after the 60 Minutes report aired, Fox News hit the ground running promoting it. Over the course of Monday, October 28, Fox would devote more than 13 segments over 11 different shows to the CBS report, totaling more than 47 minutes of coverage.
Much of Fox's coverage was self-congratulatory, claiming the CBS report had corroborated their network's coverage of Benghazi. Bret Baier, host of Fox's flagship news show Special Report, told viewers that "[l]ast night, one of journalism's heavy hitters reaffirmed what we knew and had reported on." Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy praised CBS for "finally catching up" to conservative media on the story and proclaimed, "60 Minutes doesn't cover phony scandals." The network also predictably used the 60 Minutes story to revive its smear campaign against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over Benghazi.
But now that CBS has pulled the report, Fox has gone silent. As of 1:45pm, the network still has not told its viewers that the 60 Minutes report has been retracted.
As it has been reported the survivors' testimony may be needed in future trials of suspected attackers. Other than that I'm not privy to negotiations between the administration and Issa's committee. I don't know what has been discussed on the matter. I don't know if Issa has offered to have closed door hearings or not. Or if the Administration has offered or not. Or declined.
