Only one aspect of his story was proven to be inaccurate. That is the one where he tells others that he was there. The rest has been collaborated by other sources. If one lie discredits your whole story (and the person's credibility), then this applies to everyone and Obama (and every other previous President) have no credibility either.
Seems to have been a big deal for his book publisher.
BTW, can anyone tell me whose responsibility it is to protect embassies?
It was not an embassy—it wasn’t even an official consulate—and thus it didn’t have the security for someone of such a senior rank. If there is a scandal, it’s why the ambassador was there at all. I suspect there is more to the story, but the Republicans are approaching it from the wrong angle.
Sadly, we really don't have all the facts,
thanks to the most transparent administration in the history of the world.
When do we hear from the survivors?
How would the survivors know what the WH said or didnt say? 60 minutes made the mistake of listening to a "survivor" who is trying to make money on selling a book based on fiction.
What tragedy do we ever have all the facts. The Honest way to conduct an investiagtion to ta gather all the information, UN-baised, UN-varnished, and make a assessment.
The problem with the current investigations is that they went into the investigation "loaded for Bear". You cant have a honest investigation if you are trying to prove a point.
Get the facts....good or bad, and let the chips fall where the may.
What are the survivors going to add? What Obama's actions were that day? What Peneta discussed and with whom? The motivation and backing of the attackers? The possibility, reasoning and decision to or not to attempt to send troops?
There are still questions, the survivors have little to add to the answers.
We could ask them what the hell they were doing there, we do not even know that basic info.
CBS has apologized for a “60 Minutes” report on Benghazi that was so wrong that it could have been produced by Darrell Issa.
The rightwing media was so eager to believe the fake story that this “Morgan Jones” peddled to 60 Minutes that they actually praised 60 Minutes. I guess the “lamestream” media isn’t quite so lame when it’s saying things that the right wing wants to hear. Of course, the reason that 60 Minutes was saying things that the rightwing wanted to hear was that their facts were wrong. That really should have clued them in from the beginning.
[quote=Chimuelojones;32143361]Dylan Davies admitted to have fabricated many of his actions on the night of the Diplomatic Mission attack in Benghazi, Libya.
60 Minutes' Lara Logan explained On Air on CBS' Morning News why she went with his account even with others raising "red flags" on his story.
And what????...This absolves the president and his crew of any wrongdoing in this debacle?
These people were in Libya at the height of a crisis...Everything should have been in place to protect them.
Michelle Obama has a bigger security entourage when she goes on vacation with her friends...
This situation is a disgrace to this Presidency.
P.S. - Oboton (or whatever else a 12 year old may use for his supporters) is certainly appropriate for his rabid supporters mentality.
I sometimes tried to see the good in him (Obama) - but with those he surrounds himself with, and his errors, it's a sad situation.
With all the problems going on around us (Obamacare, Middle East, NSA spying on us) he finds it critical now to focus on gay rights and marriage....Did someone get pregnant?
