Huh? Communism? LMAO! So, in your mind, it's fair to raise one SUBSET of the population's wages to match COL, but not everyone's? You selfish.........The government's job has nothing to do with fairness in the wage market, YOU are the Communist here.

Part time? No you can't. Hell, try to live in the Northeast or Northwest on 10/hr full time. It's impossible.

You didn't explain anything. You threw out a sweeping generalization and expected the reader to accept it on its face.

ONE SUBSET! Minimum Wage workers. You obviously don't know how the economy works because you think one subset needs a raise to match the COL while others don't. It's ALL relative. If you raise up someone working a cash register 2-3x's, the person designing and programming those registers need to be raised up as well or you create a TRUE disparity in skill versus wage. Once you can earn a livable wage with having no skill sets that encroaches on the wage of a skilled wage, nobody will want to get skilled. That takes effort, time and money. Why do it if you don't have to?

I agree - but raising the minimum wage is not going to get the cost of living under control.

In your world an unskilled burger flipper will be making more than a starting teacher in Texas with a BS degree.

That is some "mixed market" economy you got there.
